Fallbrook Winery
Fallbrook Winery is a 44-acre, family-owned vineyard situated between the Pacific Coast and the Pala Mesa Mountains. Nestled in the quaint town of Fallbrook, the winery operates similar to a large vineyard, but on a smaller scale and offers private tours and tastings by appointment only. Ira Gourvitz purchased the winery more than 15 years ago and his son, Ted, helps manage the day-to-day business operations. In addition, Fallbrook’s talented duo team of winemakers, Duncan Williams and Vernon Kindred, have a combined experience that spans more than six decades.
The winery has received numerous awards, but most recently, earned medals for each of its six entries at the second annual Wine Makers Challenge in San Diego. More importantly, Fallbrook’s 2010 Reserve Sauvignon Blanc was voted Best White Wine and the 2008 Sangiovese came close to capturing Best Red Wine honors.
